What is ultrasound?

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures inside the body. It provides real-time imaging of organs and soft tissues.
Preparation
Some scans require preparation, such as fasting or drinking water to fill the bladder. Exact instructions are provided when the appointment is booked.
