Information for referrers
We welcome referrals from GPs, specialists, physiotherapists, midwives, LMCs and other healthcare providers. Our priority is to provide clear, timely and clinically relevant reports that support patient care.
How to refer
- Write a standard referral on practice letterhead or your referral system.
- Include the clinical indication, relevant history and the scan requested.
- Email the referral, upload through your usual pathway, or ask the patient to bring it to the appointment.
- For urgent referrals, please call us directly.

DEXA services
- Bone density / bone mineral density scanning.
- Body composition scanning.
- Combined bone density and body composition appointments.
Report turnaround
We aim to have routine reports available within 2 working days of the appointment. Urgent reports are prioritised where urgency is clearly indicated or discussed with our team.
Reports can be sent by secure email or HealthLink. If you would like to be set up for electronic reporting, please contact us.
